    What a week. Crazy.

My family came in and we had a lot of fun. Nigel, my mother and I went to the Royal Tyrrell Museum, and the rest of my family was supposed to come too, but their trailer axl broke right in the middle of the highway, so they ended up being towed to Red Deer instead. The Museum was amazing, though. My favorite dinousaur was the little compy. It must have been cute when it was alive. I'm not sure why, but in my imagination when I picture it as if it were alive today, I imagine it sock-snatching. It must be because of a book of Nigel's that I read that talks about the care of pet dinosaurs. (I think I got it for him the last time we went to Drumheller).

The day after the trip our car had to go in to get a sensor fixed. What should have taken 2 hours ended up taking almost 13. That's what you get for taking your car back to the dealership for a repair.

Ah well, all's well that ends well! Back to work tomorrow!

So, i got a new job! Finally left the store! I work at the Calgary Zoo now, and it's fantastic! The people there are so nice, and it's just a great place to work. It's also 15 minutes from home so I actually have a day left to do stuff with. I love it!

I also got to see Harry Potter and Ratatouille. Ratatouille is the best movie of the summer. 5 stars hands down. Harry Potter on the other hand was a disappointment. 2 and a half stars for effort, though.

    TTFN ta ta for now!

    Blades of Glory
    Go see this movie.

I haven't laughed so hard at a movie in quite a while. As a huge figure skating fan, I loved the cameos, and the movie itself was just so hilarious. Definitely one of the better movies I have seen recently.

Also, check out 300. Definitely a war movie that women will appreciate. ^.~

    It is official...
It is official. Final Fantasy XII is my favorite Final Fantasy. I absolutely love it.
The ending wasn't exactly what I hoped it would be, but it was fantastic. I was not disappointed. Now I can't wait for Revnant Wings FF XII for DS. The only trouble is now that I've finished FF XII, I really don't have much to do at home. I'm still wrapping up some quests here and there in the game, but not to the extent I was before I finished it. It took me 160 hours and some odd minutes to finish. But, it was worth it.

However, I did finally give in and pick up World of Warcraft. It looks a little complicated, but it should be fun. Definitely not the kind of game I'm used to. I'm a console gamer by trade, and even then I was sure I would play Final Fantasy XI first. Oh well. Once I get a DVD drive for my computer and a new Hard Drive, I'll play that one too.

I'm eatin' my crunchy food! I'm eatin' my crunchy food! I'm eatin' my crunchy food!

As you can probably tell, I'm in a rather good mood. I'm almost done Final Fantasy XII. I'm right at the end. Wait a minute! What am I doing down here?! I'll be back later! Gonna end me some Final Fantasy XII!
(This could be the greatest Final Fantasy ever... but I've gotta see the ending to determine that. It all depends on what happens to Balthier...)

    Getting your teeth out sucks
Wow. Getting your wisdom teeth removed really sucks. I had it done on Wednesday, and I must say that although I'm doing way better than I thought I would, it still sucks. It was pretty scary, too. Of course, I've had surgery before, but this was weird. I still can't really open my mouth yet, but I can stick my tongue out a little, though. It just feels weird. And now I'm craving all the really good crunchy food I can't have. Like Vietnamese Subs. I've been living on noodles, alphaghettis, apple juice, and gatorade. It's a good thing I like alphaghettis... but after this, I don't think I'll want to look at one for another six months. The ice cream and pudding is good, though. I like ice cream and pudding.

I went out and finished my Christmas shopping last night too. That really sucked. One clerk was really nice though. He really helped me out. With all the pounding music in the store my head felt like it was gonna explode, and I couldn't even see straight. But he helped me find exactly what I was looking for, and he was like, "Wisdom teeth, hey? I remember that." The guy at the bank I wanted to beat though. I understand people get cranky having to wait in long lines, but I'm standing behind this guy and he's cursing and swearing at the top of his lungs, sometimes directly at the tellers, and once at this poor lady trying to get her banking done (she had a little girl in her arms, probably no older that two or three, crying, probably because of the little feeding tube in her nose). But what really bugged me about him was he kept swinging his arms and rocking back and forth and invading my space and bumping into me several times. Any jarring movement hurts when you've just had surgery. I said "Ow, can you please be careful?" like fifty times and he just kept flailing around and bumping into me. I was relieved when it was his turn to go. Some people just aren't very nice. I can understand you're in a hurry and whatnot, but that kind of thing isn't going to make the line go any faster or make anyone feel any better. Try a little patience. And watch out for the people behind you who are like, two feet shorter than you. Bumping them around won't help matters for you either.

And don't even get me started on Walmart. When you make a mistake at the till, fix the damn thing. Don't stand there for half an hour giggling about how only a manger can fix it and who did it. Call the manager and get it over with. There's thirty people in line who want to go home. It was really funny because I was next in line, and the girl on till looks at me and says "I'm really tired, and I'm supposed to be going home now, tee hee." Boo hoo. Poor chicky. The manager told her she couldn't go home until she got through the whole line she held up. My heart bleeds for her, I tell you. I understand the problems in retail. I really do. But for crying out loud, train your people! I know that there's a work shortage and you're hiring anybody who walks in the door, but even monkeys can be trained, so do it!

    Gods, my head hurts...

Oops, gotta go. Time for my painkillers :)

    Hi there
Hello again. It has been a long time since I have visited this place. I have been busy busy busy. I'm so stressed out lately, it's just making me really miserable. Exams and work and poor health... blah. Depressing, really. I just got over the damnable Norwalk virus. A word of advice: don't get it. And final exams are coming up... yikes.

Then, on the 20th, I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed. Sounds like fun. Pureed Christmas food. Oh well, on the good side, I might just get a few extra "sympathy" presents.

And not enough Nigel time. That's the worst of it. I've been horrible person lately, really.

But I've got Lake Louise on the sixteenth to look forward to! It just can't come fast enough...

    Halloween is ever so near...
Once again Halloween is almost upon us. It's my favorite time of year! It also happens to be das_cyberpunk's and my anniversary. We have been together since we met in history class in my first year of college. I remember when he asked me to go steady... *sigh* And ever since then, well, I've been the luckiest girl alive. A lot of people don't make it this far in a relationship. They must not have found "the one". When you do, you know. And boy, do I know. I knew right away. There was just something there that I can't really put into words. It's a wonderful feeling. Nothing else feels as right as finding that one person who completes you. I know it sounds sappy, but it's true. How lucky I am, how wonderful everything is, how much I look forward to the rest of my life with my soulmate... Life is good. Yes, life is very good. I have a lot to be thankful for.

    I really love Halloween ^_^

Hey hey hey! Long time no see! What's new with me, you ask? Well, let's see:

Went to Banff at the end of August with Nigel and stayed at the Rimrock Resort Hotel. It was absolutely gorgeous! I wanna go again! It was such a wonderful vacation.

Went back to school. Taking Romance Studies, Cultural Anthropology, German, and Psychology. Really nice. Not so nice - 600 dollars in textbooks.

My favorite version of Alice in Wonderland is now on DVD! Yay! I ordered it from Amazon, so it should be here tomorrow. (It should have been here today, but I'll let them have a small allowance... but I won't wait happily much longer. I've waited too many years for this. Nigel and Family be warned. If it doesn't get here soon I might become a tad cranky).

Anyhoo, I gotta get to bed. Gotta get up early for my eight o'clock German class. Auf wiedersehen!

Okay, on the 23 of July, I saw the BEST show I have ever been to in my entire life! I saw the Phantom of the Opera at the Jubilee Auditorium, and it was incredible. I am totally obsessed now. Just ask Nigel. Poor Nigel. The Phantom is all he's heard about since then. I even made him listen and compare the Michael Crawford Phantom to the Gerard Butler Phantom. Personally, I like Gerard the best. And I've watched the movie probably a hundres times now. The soundtracks I own (Original London Cast, which is Michael Crawford, and Sarah Brightman, Canadian Cast, which is Colm Wilkinson, and Rebecca Caine and the Movie Cast which is Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum and Patrick Wilson as Raoul)have been in constant rotation since then. I absolutely love it! I even bought the original novel so I could compare stories. I like the Webber version. It's soooo romantic! Of course, Nigel asks what's to be found that's so romantic? The guy lives in a sewer and is a homicidal maniac psycho serial killer. Blah. I love it anyway, and it is too romantic so there! I love it, I love it, I love it!

And I am knitting an afghan! Woo hoo! It's pretty difficult what with the cable stitching and all, but it is coming along splendidly! Yay! Go me!

    The Phantom!
Yay! I'm going to see the Phantom of the Opera on Sunday! I can't wait! I loved the movie, and I've never had the opportunity to see the stage production, so woo hoo!

My holidays are over and I'm back to work. I liked being lazy. It was fun. Although, I like money too... so... hi ho, hi ho, it's back to work I go.

Gonna go play me some Guitar Hero. Finally got 5 stars in Bark at the Moon! Yay!

Long time, no see! What have I been up to? I have been very busy, and very happy! Things are going great for me! It's nice to feel this happy! I'm just getting ready for my summer vacation! It's gonna be great! My family's coming in for Stampede, and Nigel and I are planning a nice vacation of our own, which I am very much looking forward to! It's looking to be a great month for yours truly! I hope everyone's as happy as I am!

    Hi there!
Wow, it sure has been a while since I've been here. Lots of things have happened. A good friend of mine passed away on the 27th of April, and I'm just getting to where I'm able to think about her without crying, or trying really hard not to cry. But I'm much happier now, thanks to the support of a lot of good people, especially my better half. He stayed with me the entire weekend after I found out, and was always there to listen or cheer me up. Many thanks to everyone, and much love to you, Nigel.

On a happier note, my friend Linds from Vancover came down to visit over the May long weekend. I had a blast. Once again, we were told that we look like sisters, and once again, all the drunks came to sit by me and started talking to her (long story). We make quite a pair. Here's to many more years (and I think it's my turn to do the travelling... a little sedation's all Ill need...)!

But yeah, I think I shall head for bed! I have made a convert to the cult of X Japan and hide. We are getting together tomorrow for J-Rocker worship and some Dance Dance Revolution. I want to have enough sleep for when I make a fool out of myself. Ah, who am I kidding? I'm gonna go watch some of my new obsession, "House, M.D.".

    *grumble*
What the hell is wrong with people? Why are they so stupid and ignorant? I was on the train home this afternoon when a drunken slob staggered to my seat and proceeded to fall on me. I demanded that he get off me immediately, but he seemed to be preparing to pass out, and got really mad at me when I shoved him, and told him to get the fuck off me. Yeah, because I'm not kind or caring enough to let a fucking drunk pass out and puke on my lap. Screw that. Somebody pulled him up, and I went to another seat. But what the fuck is wrong with people? They really need more security or something on the trains. For the fare we pay, we get sweet fuck all for service. I need a fucking shower.

    Oooh, what a week!
Kingdom Hearts II comes out soon... I cannot wait! I've preordered my copy, and I also preordered the limited edition hint guide that comes with the soundtrack! Yay!

Also coming out next week: Memoirs of a Geisha! I can't wait to see it! (I really want to see what Hatsumomo is like! She was one of my favorite characters in the book... next to Mameha!)

Should be arriving soon: My Howl's Moving Castle Artbook, Encyclopedia, OST, and Image Album... I wish they'd get here faster! I really, really, really wanna see the artbook! Man, I am obsessed!
